Cookie Policy

Digger uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a little browser storage for your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way. We use both to make Digger work and to remember your choices.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
digger_session | Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, HTTP-only and secure. | Up to 30 days | Essential |
digger.theme | Browser storage | Remembers your light or dark appearance choice. | Until you clear it | Preference |
digger.visits | Browser storage | Counts visits on your device to time the install-app prompt. | Until you clear it | Preference |
3. Essential cookies
The sign-in cookie is strictly necessary: without it you could not stay signed in, so it does not need your consent. It is set only when you sign in.
4. Analytics
We measure how Digger is used with PostHog, hosted in the EU. Events come from our servers and, for actions such as starting playback, from your browser. All of them are tied to the same one-way hashed account ID, which our server gives your browser each session, so no analytics cookie or stored identifier is set. Events never include links, notes, titles or your email. We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and we send nothing if you turn analytics off. If we ever add analytics that uses cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
5. Third-party cookies
Digger does not load advertising or social-media trackers. Links to other sites, such as music stores, are covered by those sites’ own cookie policies once you open them. Payment pages hosted by Lemon Squeezy set their own cookies, described in its policy.
6. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie means you will not be able to stay signed in. Clearing browser storage resets your theme and install-prompt preferences.
7. Changes and contact
We will post updates here with a new date. Questions: [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
